What Is Recyclable Packaging?
Pet food bags are used for all kinds of pet food packaging, the pouches are made with a reclosable zipper for reuse purposes. In order to protect the food inside, all pet food bags are made with high-barrier material to make sure they have a longer shelf life.
There have four main pet food bags in the market: flat pouch, stand up pouch, gusset pouch, flat bottom pouch. Flat pouches and stand-up pouches are used for small volume pet food packaging, gusset pouches, and flat bottom pouches are used for large volume ones, normally the large volume pouch will have a slidder zipper at the top for reclosure purposes.
Currently the commonly used recyclable material structure is single-material structure.
The multi-layer laminated structure of the single material (LDPE or PP) makes the flexible packaging (PE or PP spout) a single-material packaging, which is easy to classify and recycle, and realizes a sustainable recycling packaging solution.
The PE single-material structure is currently mainly laminated of biaxially stretched PE material and low-temperature heat-sealed PE.
The flexible packaging laminated by single-layer or multi-layer MDO uniaxially stretched PE meets the international recycling standard Class 4 LDPE classification.
The retorted flexible packaging laminated by multi-layer co-extruded PP and CPP meets the
international recycling standard Class 5 PP classification.
